Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) has been mandated by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India to coordinate the India Pavilion and program to showcase India’s achievements in Biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences to the over 15000 delegates from 60+ countries that are expected to participate. India has shown exemplary leadership during the COVID crisis that has been recognized worldwide. With approximately 2 Billion dosages produced,  India leads in Vaccine manufacturing and exports. Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and Minister of IT, BT and S&T Dr C N Ashwathnarayan visited Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre and chaired the meeting regarding projects of COVID-19 diagnostics and therapeutics going on within the facility on 14/05/2020. He also launched automated RNA isolation and isothermal amplification kit for COVID-19 developed jointly by BBC and SN Lifesciences incubated at BBC.
